Woo! Phrenology. Cod medical theories of the Victorians. Feeling bumps on the skull to work out what 'type' a person is. Generally used to demonize and marginalize the working classes and criminals. So Bod needs his bumps felt, eh? But this is only a displacement activity. It is really Flo and the postman and the farmer who feel the need to have their bumps examined.
Flo has just engaged in classic response to art. If you've ever made art in public or shown something 'difficult' I'm sure you'll have heard people say things like 'you need your head examined' or 'you must be crazy'. Well, this is the same thing. Flo has unleashed societies nuclear weapon against the artist: we don't understand this, so you must be insane.
