Hello and welcome to my "Cathy" web page.

I'm very happy that so many have visited this site and I truly appreciate the kind comments left in the guest book. Contrary though to a few folks that have misunderstood, I'm not John Carder Bush. I'm just another fan like all of you whose lives have been enriched by Kate's music.

In my own small way of contributing to the information about Kate on the internet, this web page came about due to my interest in John's book, which was an extremely limited private printing, and which I have never seen in person. Most of the photographs were already available online, but the accompanying text was hard to find, or in some cases, nonexistent. Thanks to some very kind people who sent me what I could not locate, I was able to put together a facsimile of this wonderful book.

It's obvious the love that John and all of Kate's family had for her is reflected in the eyes of the little girl in the pictures, and surely contributed to the development of such a rare and meaningful artist.

I like to think that besides the documentation of a youthful Kate, John's book enables people to leave with a sense of the value of childhood and what a loving and supporting environment can mean to their own children, now and in the future. I thought one letter I received a while back described some of these impressions very well;

"The book actually made me look back on my own childhood and made me realize that things are not as we remember and that time will pass us by without giving us a second thought... I now look at my own children in a different light and realize that the young innocence will soon disappear, so I must enjoy the joys they bring to my life now and not tomorrow when that is too late."

So, thanks again to all the kind people who have visited my Cathy site and left a message. It means a lot to me to know that people appreciate the site and take the time to share their thoughts about the site and the Lady we all love.
